WHEREAS, over the past twenty-five years STANLEY E. LEVIN has been the voice of the poor, the disadvantaged and the disabled people of Hawaii, utilizing his skills as an attorney to represent their legal needs; and

WHEREAS, working with the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii and as a private practitioner STANLEY E. LEVIN has donated his energy, time, effort, and money (often working pro bono) to improve the services for those in need; and

WHEREAS, the ABA Litigation Section have recently recognized STANLEY E. LEVIN nationally for his outstanding contributions as one of the recipients of the John Minor Wisdom Public Service and Professionalism Award; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Nineteenth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 1998, that this body commends and congratulates STANLEY E. LEVIN, a recipient of the John Minor Wisdom Public Service and Professionalism Award, and expresses to him its heartfelt ALOHA for his contributions to Hawaii and the poverty community.
