– Prestigious “Inner Circle of Advocates” is led by Honolulu attorney Mark Davis –
Hanalei, HI (Aug. 7, 2010) – The 2010 national convention for The Inner Circle of Advocates opens today at the St. Regis Princeville on Kauai. More than 200 delegates from across the U.S. are expected to attend the five-day conference. It is the first time in the organization’s 40-year history that Hawaii has been selected as a convention site.
“I’ve been eager to bring The Inner Circle meeting to Hawaii not only to boost our State’s economy, but also to introduce so many of my colleagues to the charm of Hawaii,” said Mark S. Davis, president of The Inner Circle of Advocates and founding partner of Hawaii-based law firm Davis Levin Livingston. “I welcome my colleagues and their guests to Kauai and have been encouraging them to enjoy the beautiful new St. Regis facilities and the wonderful setting overlooking Hanalei.”
Membership in the Inner Circle of Advocates is by peer selection and is limited to only 100 members who have distinguished themselves among the best courtroom lawyers. Some of the country’s most well-known lawyers have been part of the Inner Circle, including Johnny Cochran, Morris Dees and Joe Jamil. For more information, visit www.innercircle.org.
In 1997, Davis became the first lawyer from Hawaii selected for membership and he continues to be the only attorney from the islands in the organization. He is a founding partner of Davis Levin Livingston and has practiced in Honolulu for more than 35 years. Davis is in the middle of a two-year term as president of The Inner Circle of Advocates. He was named “Lawyer of the Year” for 2009 by Honolulu Magazine in the field of personal injury law. For more information, visit www.davislevin.com
