Moiliili Accident Pins Bicyclist Under Truck

April 15, 2011 – Moiliili, HI – A bicyclist remained in critical condition on Monday, April 4, after a Moiliili accident left him pinned beneath a truck on University Avenue, according to a report at StarAdvertiser.com.
Firefighters, paramedics and police officers responded to the accident, which occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. The newspaper’s website stated that firefighters had to use hydraulic tools to free the victim, a 75-year-old man.
He was treated at the scene of the Moiliili accident for critical injuries including cardiac arrest, which required cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Police officers had to close the Mauka-bound lanes of University between Kuilei and King streets until the scene could be investigated and cleared.
