Senior Pedestrian Hit by UPS Truck in Waipahu

July 9, 2010 – A 64-year-old woman is currently in critical condition after being hit by a UPS truck while attempting to cross the street at the intersection of Paiwa and Hiapo Streets in Waipahu last month.
According to reports on Khon2.com, the female pedestrian accident victim was apparently in the crosswalk around 6 p.m. when she was struck by a UPS truck being driven by a 42-year-old man from Ewa Beach who has attempting to make a left turn.
The pedestrian victim was taken to a nearby trauma center and was reported to be in critical condition. Police have concluded that the truck driver was not intoxicated at the time of the accident but are still investigating what other factors may be involved.
