Aimee Lum

Aimee Lum has enjoyed a legal career spanning 17 years. Born and raised in Hawaii, she is an alumni of Punahou School, received her B.A., with distinction, from the University of Michigan in 2000, and obtained her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the William S. Richardson School of Law in 2005. During law school, Ms. Lum served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review and externed for the Honorable Richard R. Clifton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Honorable David Alan Ezra and the Honorable Barry M. Kurren of the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii.

Ms. Lum began her legal career as an associate at Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel then spent 16 years at the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii, where she was a law clerk for the Honorable David Alan Ezra and the Honorable Leslie E. Kobayashi, and a career law clerk for the Honorable Jill A. Otake and the Honorable Kevin S.C. Chang, working on a wide range of high-profile civil and criminal cases.

Passionate about non-profit causes, Ms. Lum has served on a number of boards since 2013. She is currently on the boards of directors for the Hawaii Women’s Legal Foundation, American Cancer Society Hawaii Guam, Honolulu Zoo Society, and Drill Team Hawaii Booster Club, presently and previously holding a variety of leadership roles. She is also a member of Punahou School’s Parent Advancement Council.

At Davis Levin Livingston, Ms. Lum focuses on corporate negligence, medical malpractice, sexual abuse, and civil rights violations.
