Aimee Lum

Aimee Lum has enjoyed a legal career spanning 20 years. Born and raised in Hawaii, she is an alumni of Punahou School, received her B.A., with distinction, from the University of Michigan in 2000, and obtained her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the William S. Richardson School of Law in 2005. During law school, Ms. Lum served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review and externed for the Honorable Richard R. Clifton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Honorable David Alan Ezra and the Honorable Barry M. Kurren of the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii.

Ms. Lum began her legal career as an associate at Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel then spent 16 years at the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii, where she was a law clerk for the Honorable David Alan Ezra and the Honorable Leslie E. Kobayashi, and a career law clerk for the Honorable Jill A. Otake and the Honorable Kevin S.C. Chang, working on a wide range of high-profile civil and criminal cases.

In her professional capacity, Ms. Lum is involved in the legal community as a member of the Hawaii Rules of Appellate Procedure Standing Committee and as a Lawyer Representative, Lawyer Delegate, and Website Committee member for the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii.

Also passionate about charitable causes, Ms. Lum has served on a number of boards since 2013. She is currently on the boards of directors for the Federal Bar Association’s Hawaii Chapter, Hawaii Women’s Legal Foundation, and Drill Team Hawaii Booster Club. She previously served on the boards for American Cancer Society Hawaii Guam and Honolulu Zoo Society and was a longtime member of Punahou School’s Parent Advancement Council.

At Davis Levin Livingston, Ms. Lum focuses on general personal injury, corporate negligence, medical malpractice, sexual abuse, and civil rights violations.
