July 9, 2010 – A mother of 2 was killed Monday morning when her car crashed head-on into another vehicle on Kaumualii Highway.
According to reports in the Honolulu Star Advertiser, Jesselina Kee, 22, of Las Vegas was driving eastbound on Kaumualii Highway in Puhi around 9:45 a.m. when she crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a vehicle heading westbound near Anonui Road.
Kee, who had been in Hawaii for 2 months visiting a friend in Puhi, was declared dead at the scene of the accident. The other driver, an 80-year-old man from Koloa, was also injured in the crash but is said to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Kee leaves behind 2 young children, ages 2 and 4, who were already residing with other family members in Las Vegas. The cause of the car accident is still under investigation by local authorities.
